Green Pin® is part of the Van Beest Group.
The history of Green Pin shackles starts more than 100 years ago. Dirk van Beest, a Dutch blacksmith, began manufacturing heavy-duty shackles in 1922. Van Beestlived and worked near Rotterdam, the largest seaport in Europe, and he found success as a supplier to the Dutch dredging and maritime industry. His shackles would later be branded as 'Green Pin' shackles - secure, reliable and easy to use.
The names Green Pin and Van Beest are synonymous with failsafe products that offer outstanding endurance. All of these alloy bow shackles have a hot dipped galvanised finish to ensure their long-term durability and their compliance with the relevant standards for heavy lifting equipment.

What is the purpose of Green Pin shackles?
Standard Green Pin shackles are designed to provide a safe and secure attachment point between the sling and the load. These tools are typically used for temporary anchoring or joining jobs.
Top tip: If using green pin shackles with lifting equipment that creates a lot of vibration, it’s important to ensure that the screw pin is properly tightened using a wrench to prevent it from coming loose.
