We specialise in architectural models, but we also create industrial models, exhibition models, display models, fibreglass models, and topographical models. We even offer a laser cutting and laser engraving service.

Regardless of your requirements, our expert team of model makers can help. From a simple concept model to a fully detailed presentation model, from a giant snowball to a purple dragon, we can turn two-dimensional ideas into three-dimensional reality. We can even add sound, light and movement to give your project that extra dimension.

The Modelmakers team are used to dealing with unusual requests. If you need something built that’s a bit out of the ordinary, we’ll find a way to do it. Our broad knowledge of model making techniques – together with our outstanding technical skill – means that we can handle just about any brief you give us. We love a challenge here at Modelmakers!

Model Making: Frequently Asked Questions

As a quick guide to our model making service, we’ve put together a Frequently Asked Questions page. Below, you’ll find an abbreviated selection of some of the questions we’ve answered there.

There are no definitive answers to this question as every model is a unique project. Prices range from less than a hundred pounds to many thousands of pounds, depending on scale, complexity and the level of detail required.

Not at all. We manufacture models for clients all over Britain and abroad. Information exchange and client liaison are handled by email and telephone, and regular progress photographs keep you fully up to date.

Each model is different. A simple concept model could take a few days, while a large complex interactive model could take five or six weeks. Most projects fall somewhere in between, typically around two to four weeks.

Ideally we need a site plan, elevations and supporting reference material such as photographs or schedules of finishes. If your project is still at an early stage, we can usually still provide a rough budget figure from limited information.
