Ricky Martin
Managing Director
Ricky graduated as a Biochemist from Cardiff University in 2006 which subsequently fuelled his passion for a career in the Life Sciences sector. He spent over a decade recruiting exclusively for the sciences before setting up Hyper Recruitment Solutions (in 2012) with the mission to help people and change lives through healthcare and / or new technologies.

He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Chair of the UK Life Sciences committee for the REC, sharing best practice and helping to raise the standards in the industry.

Interesting fact: Prior to setting up HRS was the UK Heavyweight and UK Tag Team Champion for professional wrestling and received an offer to try out for the big leagues in the US for WWE. Following my success in wrestling I was approached to take part in BBC1’s action game show, Total Wipeout which I won in 2009.

Eve Hegarty
Managing Delivery Consultant
Eve specialises in life sciences recruitment at HRS. She moved into recruitment after spending six years working within the Life Sciences industry so has a sound knowledge and understanding of the sector and its requirements.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I really enjoy working at HRS. I feel the business’s key values match my own when it comes to placing the right scientists into the right jobs having been a job seeker in the life sciences industry previously.

Interesting fact: Olly Murs came to my house and sang for me!

Dan Dawson
Recruitment Director
Dan has worked in Recruitment for over 25 years with a focus on the technology sector.He has supported a multitude of clients from start up to multi nationals building tech teams.With a permanent background he takes great satisfaction from placing people more than once during their career. Dan has worked across a variety of vertical markets which over the years has given him a depth of understanding across the whole sector.

Interesting fact: I love to run, I have completed four marathons now (PB 3.51). I plan to run my first ultra in 2021
Chris Amey
Finance Director
Chris is a London Metropolitan University graduate and is ACCA qualified. He joined HRS to set up and establish the finance function. He has been working as FC/FD for the past 10 years in the service industry.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I enjoy working at HRS because it’s a growing, ambitious company with a great team of talented, like-minded professionals.

Interesting fact: I was moments away from delivering my second son because we were having a home birth. We left it too late to phone the midwife – she eventually arrived moments before the birth to relieve me of my duties.
Ben Hamlin
Senior Client Relationship Manager
Ben has a wealth of experience within the recruitment sector, working alongside Ricky since 2007. During the last two years he worked as a Project Manager for a global leader in environmental solutions. We are delighted to have Ben on the team to lead the development of the Account Management and Service delivery teams.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
The working relationship I have with Ricky as well as other key members of the business was a significant factor in my decision to return. The culture, passion and atmosphere at HRS is fantastic!

Interesting fact: During lockdown I managed to run a marathon around the New Forest. My intention is to run around the Isle of Wight in the not too distant future.
Georgia Walden
Senior Recruitment Consultant
Georgia is a Recruitment Consultant specialising in Biologics. After finishing a degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Research Masters in Cell Biology and undertook a Graduate Management Course before moving to HRS.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I decided to join HRS as I really like recruitment and I felt this company was the best in the market place and somewhere she could really make a difference. I enjoy finding the right candidate for the role, especially when it is difficult to fill.

Interesting fact: I moonlighted as a TV extra when I was younger and the back of my head can be seen in a number of well-known shows such as Kerching, Footballers Wives and Eastenders!

Rachel Smart
Senior Contracts and Compliance Officer
Rachel is part of the Contracts team at HRS. Her role is to ensure every candidate is set up on the correct contract, is comfortable before they begin their new role and happy whilst working for HRS. Prior to joining the HRS team, she worked within recruitment, for the Medical industry for five years, learning payroll and admin, finance and compliance. The compliance area was a big move for her; learning the vast compliance requirements for medical staff to be fit for psychiatry roles.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I enjoy my role here at HRS because everyone is positive; from my colleagues in the office to the candidates themselves. There is a positive attitude in the office on a daily basis. It is nice to be involved in a company who cares about the people they are helping to place into work.

Interesting fact: Whilst out celebrating my 21st birthday, I met Olly Murrs. He was happy to be in many photos of me and my friends. I was also one of seven people to fit into a Smart car at the same time.

David Powell
Associate Recruitment Director
David is leading the expansion of the HRS brand in the North of England to support existing and new clients with how they collect, use and protect their data. He started his recruitment career over 10 years ago, working alongside Ricky. Since then he has built and led teams in the Technology sector in Sussex, London and Manchester.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I chose to work with HRS because I believed in Ricky and his passion to help make a difference and I honestly think, by combining our skills we have a unique opportunity to help our client and candidate communities.

Interesting fact: I am a four times Ironman finisher and have raced in triathlons across Europe, my favourite location by far and away was racing in the Austrian Alps.

Greg King
Senior Recruitment Manager
Greg is a Business Studies graduate from the University of Portsmouth and first joined the recruitment industry shortly after his graduation day in 2009. He spent the last 12 years placing contractors throughout the IT industry into a number of different verticals on a pan European basis and has successfully built teams to fulfil client and candidate requirements. With his pan European experience, he has a wealth of knowledge in contractor compliancy and ensures every experience is met with integrity, transparency and smoothness.

Interesting fact: I am a keen triathlete and have taken part in multiple Sprint triathlons, and Olympic distance triathlons. Unfortunately, my keenness for sports has come at a cost and my body currently houses around seven metal plates and numerous screws and bolts due to various accidents on the Rugby and Football fields.
Marcus Rossi
Senior Recruitment Consultant
Marcus is a Recruitment Consultant at HRS. He graduated university with a first class degree in Sport and Exercise Science.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I enjoy working at HRS because of how friendly and enthusiastic everyone is about their work. I chose recruitment, in particular HRS as they specialise in science. My job involves helping change people’s lives as well as improving the quality of the science industry. My previous jobs have been across various industries including Hospitality to (refereeing) football.

Interesting fact: I played football for Ipswich and Watford Academy and County Level Under 18’s before going to university.

Laura Fellowes
Engagement Officer
Laura has a variety of experience in customer and client facing roles. She has recently joined the Marketing team at HRS to support with social media, events and other marketing duties.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I really enjoy working for HRS because its more than just a recruitment company. We help to generate so much positivity in the development of science and technology and it’s great to be a part of that.

Interesting fact: Alongside Marketing, Laura also works in the Beauty industry, where she has done everything from fashion shoots to wedding day makeup.

Debra Fong
Senior Delivery Consultant
Debra specialises in supporting Life Science recruitment in the Scotland office. She has a background in architectural engineering, after spending two years working in the industry, she wanted to do something more challenging and fun.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I like working for HRS because of its “life changing” motto and commitment. I like that I place candidates into companies who research and develop drugs to better people’s lives.

Interesting fact: I’ve had quite a few accidents as a child. I had stitches on my lip from an accident during a water fight.

Ben Hughes
Remote Recruitment Consultant
Ben is based at our Manchester office, he specialises in helping clients and candidates within data and cyber security. He has two years’ experience in the recruitment industry and enjoys the investigating and problem-solving aspects of the role, which lead onto delivering great results and building trusted relationships.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I believe in the personal and honest service HRS offers to make a positive contribution to recruitment in life science.

Interesting fact: When I am not recruiting, you can find me on a rugby pitch.

Edward McNulty
Senior Recruitment Consultant
Edward is a Recruitment Consultant specialising in Chemistry. He went to university in Manchester and graduated with a Business Management degree. He enjoys the sales aspect of recruitment and this is what attracted him to the role. During his A Levels he worked in as a chef in a pub and during the summer holidays at a sweetshop.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
Although I do not have a science background I have been able to learn a lot about the Science industry and the earning potential is definitely something that drives me.

Interesting fact: I took a helicopter tour of the Island, when I holidayed in Hawaii.

Christina Giakou
Senior Recruitment Consultant
Christina is a Recruitment Consultant, within the Commercial team. She graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BSc in Biological Sciences

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I like working for HRS because of the challenging nature of the job and mostly because of the people that work here. The work environment is super friendly and everyone has been supportive. Before working for HRS I was working as a Sales Assistant at Hollister, therefore gained confidence in interacting with customers and fulfilling their needs.

Interesting fact: I went for snowboarding in Siberia.

Andrew Meade
Assistant Accountant
Andrew is part of the finance team at HRS. Prior to joining, he worked in recovery auditing for over six years, identifying and recovering previously-lost revenue for a number of major retailers while also helping to improve their procurement-to-payment cycles, before successfully completing a master's degree in Professional Accountancy in 2018.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I enjoy supporting the life-changing work being performed by candidates placed in the science and technology sectors, as well as working in an ambitious, growing business where

Interesting fact: I’m a big football fan, and in addition to regularly playing 5-a-side and holding a season ticket at West Ham United, I once lifted the European Cup while on holiday in Barcelona.
Chloe Barnett
Senior Recruitment Consultant
Chloe is a Senior Recruitment Consultant specialising within the QA market. Prior to joining HRS, Chloe has spent 5 years within recruitment specialising in the Manufacturing and Engineering industry, recruiting within Medical Device, Pharmaceutical and Precision Engineering businesses.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I like working for HRS because of the exciting roles I get to fill whilst helping candidates and clients within an interesting industry.

Interesting fact: I’ve met the Queen!
Elliott Harvey
Recruitment Consultant
Elliott is from Lowton in Wigan. Previous to HRS, Elliott did an Internship with the Westminster Council Prevent Team which deals with anti-terrorism. He now works as a Recruitment Consulant in the HRS Manchester office.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I like working for HRS because of the welcoming environment and friendly colleagues. I also enjoy working in a fast paced environment and this is certainly offered working at HRS.

Interesting fact: I’m 6ft6 but can’t slam dunk when I play basketball.
Fabio Roque
Recruitment Consultant
Fabio graduated from the University of Bath with a First Class Honours Degree in Sport and Social Science . He has acquired a range of fundamental skills thanks to work experience in administration, events management and football refereeing. Subsequently, these experiences have built the solid foundations he needs to change lives for the better here at HRS.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I chose to work at HRS because of their ethical values towards recruitment. Not only is everyone in the office valued for their personal qualities, but every single candidate and client is valued on a personal level

Interesting fact: I was a ballroom dancer when I was a child.

Luke Webber
Sales Director
Luke has studied Cellular Molecular Biosciences at Sheffield Hallam University and prior to starting a career in recruitment he worked for GSK as a DMPK Scientist. Luke started his a career in recruitment in 2008 beginning as a founding member of ProClinical. During his time he helped grow and set up an international recruitment business that provided staffing solutions across Life sciences to UK, EU (Germany, Switzerland, Belgium etc) as well as US and beyond. Luke has extensive experience in life sciences recruitment covering QA, RA, Clinical, Biometrics, Medical and much more permanent, contract and project-based solutions.

Interesting fact: I live in the Peak District and run a small farm that has Chickens, Ducks, Geese, Pigs, Goats, Sheep and Alpaca.
Megan Saunders
Associate Recruitment Consulant
Megan graduated from Ravensbourne University London where she studied Digital Film Production. She has experience working on film sets as well as carrying out her own freelance photography and digital prints company along side her studies. After graduating, Megan started a career in recruitment with HRS.

What do you enjoy the most about working at HRS?
I’m working with HRS as I have a passion for the life sciences. I find the drug lifecycle and all of the knowledge that goes into it fascinating. As well as this, I’m passionate about the idea of being a ‘life changer’, helping people to pursue their aspired careers, and being a part of the recruitment process that leads to the creation of a lifesaving cure.

Interesting fact: I could ride horses before I could walk

Ben Vicentuan
Head of Talent Acquisition & Engagement
Ben started his recruitment career 14 years ago where he progressed to managing a team prior to focusing on his career in internal recruitment. He has headed up internal recruitment for a number of reputable recruitment brands on a regional, national and international level. He is now a monumental part in growing the HRS Life Changing team

Why HRS?
I chose to work for HRS because of their story. I really like the values and vision of the team so its exciting to be part of building a business like HRS

Interesting fact: Football is my favourite spectator sport (COYG!) but I have represented teams for rugby at university, club, county and South-East level
James Clemens
Marketing Manager
James originally started as a recruitment consultant in the actuarial sector in 2015 before moving across into marketing in 2017. After 3 years in the L&D sector James returns to recruitment with a host of experience across both digital and offline marketing channels.

Why HRS?
I chose to work for HRS because of the fantastic opportunity that the company provides. Ricky is different from the majority of other recruitment Managing Directors because of his commitment to saving lives as opposed to just filling jobs.

Interesting fact: I once qualified as a chef at university

Patrycja is an Environmental Science graduate with a love for animals and nature. Her biggest goal is to have a positive impact on the world and really make a difference. At HRS Patrycja is a Life Changer and is based in our Loughton office.

Preet Sall
Recruitment Consulant
Preet has a Marketing Management degree from the University of Westminster. During her time at Uni she gained customer service experience before starting to explore a career in recruitment with HRS.

I chose to work for HRS because I really love the morals behind the business. Being able to say that I change lives through recruitment is so rewarding!

Rhea Rughani
Recruitment Consulant
Rhea graduated with a first-class degree in International Business from Brunel University. While completing her degree Rhea gained customer service experience in a number of part time jobs. This experience lead her to starting a career in recruitment at HRS.

Why HRS?
I chose to work for HRS due to the welcoming environment and that everyday is exciting. It is great to be part of helping candidates find the perfect role and make a difference in their lives.

Interesting fact: I started Bollywood dancing at the age of 6 and performed at Trafalgar Square for a Diwali Show in front of 25 thousand people.
Nathan Pepperall
Recruitment Consulant
Nathan is originally from Worcestershire and is now based in the HRS Manchester office. He has a background in the sporting industry following and playing a variety of sports specifically football (supporting Aston Villa). He would one day like to travel, especially to Asia.

Why HRS?
I wanted to work for HRS as I value the importance of company culture and the fact HRS is expanding.

Ariana Dewji
Associate Recruitment Consultant
Ariana is originally from Dubai but came to the UK to study Politics at Manchester. She has a lot of experience in customer-facing roles and really enjoys utilising her interpersonal skills within recruitment. Ariana is based in our Manchester office.

Bethany Quinn

Bethany graduated from Northumbria university with a degree in International Relations and Politics. Since, she relocated to Manchester to start a career in Recruitment at HRS.

I joined HRS because I am passionate about making a difference and I think their values resonate a lot with my own.

Interesting fact: I was born during the total solar eclipse in 1999
Leonie Williams
Senior Recruitment Consulant
Prior to HRS Leonie specialised in supporting the NHS within Information Management and Technology recruitment for over 3 years. She is now based in the Manchester office and specialises in permenant recruitment.

Why HRS?
HRS is an ambitious, growing business at the forefront of changing lives and making the world a better place. I feel compelled be a part of the journey and I’m delighted to have joined the HRS team!

Interesting fact: Was selected for an international volunteering programme to Thailand teaching English to school children in the Tsunami-stricken Khao Lak region for 2 months just before my final year at Uni. Easily the most rewarding thing I’ve done… prior to working at HRS of course!
Anneliese Millar
Associate Recruitment Consultant
Anneliese studied Zoology at the university of Leeds. She has had several teaching assistant roles in a variety of settings including abroad in Tenerife where she lived for 8 months. Anneliese then began a career in Recrutiment with HRS.

Why HRS?
The reason I chose to work for HRS is because the values they hold are close to my own. I also loved the culture at HRS with all the team being like one big family.

Elliott Howells
Associate Recruitment Consultant
Elliott studied Biochemistry at Lancaster University and graduate with a 2:1. After graduating during the pandemic he worked at a COVID-19 testing centre for a year until the opportunity to work with HRS arose. HRS is Elliott's first role in an office environment and so he is excited to see what the future brings.

Why HRS?
I’m absolutely delighted to be working at HRS mainly due to the values of the company; which are values I absolutely share. I was immediately drawn to the idea that I can help people get jobs that will not only change their lives, but also change the lives of others. It’s also such a driven, yet friendly environment, which absolutely suits me.

Interesting fact: I’ve played the piano since the age of 4 and can play whatever song you like!
Allanah Loyaga
Associate Recruitment Consultant
Allanah has studied diagnostic radiography and is doing a distance learning course for biomedicine and bio-industry. While studying she shortly worked as a talent specialist at a start-up company and really enjoyed it. She then started a career at HRS AS she wanted to grow her skills with a company that focuses on a subject she is passionate about.

I chose HRS because everyone has an amazing work ethic. I want to grow my skills as the company grows too!

Interesting fact: I flew over to Ireland to help raise a litter of puppies
Nathan Fairhurst
Senior Recruitment Consulant
Nathan joined the HRS Manchester office for a new opportuity as a Computational Data Team leader. His background in recruitment has been focused on the sciences for the last 7 years, recruiting mainly laboratory roles within the Life Science & Industrial Chemical Markets.

I joined HRS due to the genuine passion of everyone in the company to change people’s lives.

Charlotte Bird
Senior Office Administator
After graduating from a photography degree, Charlotte found Office Management through her love of all things organsation, she enjoys using her position to make a difference in office efficiency.

Why HRS?
I joined HRS beccause working in an environment that is friendly and supportive is something that is very important to me, and you get that at HRS in bundles, it is an environment that you enjoy being in everyday

Interesting fact: I like to collect pineapple themed items, I have at least 30 things, from a chopping board, to a lamp.
Sernila Ganeshamoorthy
Associate Recruitment Consultant
Sernila is a biology graduate from Keele University with a background in customer services. She enjoys socialising and spending time with people and believes recruitment will be the perfect role

Why HRS?
I joined HRS knowing that I can make a positive change in someone’s life by finding them the perfect opportunities and I liked the morals HRS stood for.

Interesting fact: My life is basically a story of a civil war survivor and I am officially a plant mum. Through my hard work, I managed to buy my first property at the age of 22.
Kieran Mead
Recruitment Consultant
After studying A-Levels Kieran began to pursue his career in sales and recruitment. In his previous employment Kieran worked within the construction sector. He thoroughly enjoys his job, speaking with people and building great relationships.

Why HRS?
The reason I joined HRS was the atmosphere and culture of the office, all the team are friendly and helpful. This helps when your goal is to change people’s lives.

Interesting fact: I love football and skydiving.
Riley Watmore
Associate Recruitment Consultant
Riley has previously worked in recruitment focusing on the Tech and Gaming industries before moving onto other customer facing roles to focus on a boxing career. Following success in that venture he has now joined HRS to continue the development of his recruitment career.

As a firm believer in the importance of science, joining HRS was the perfect opportunity to be a contributor to a fantastic, growing and evolving business. It’s given me the chance to directly have an impact on people’s lives within a growth industry that helps shape the world for the better.

Interesting fact: I’m a huge music fanatic with a big Vinyl collection. I’m a hip-hop head through and through but I love just about every genre. That being said I have no idea what’s going on in the charts right now, I’m stuck in the 90’s and beyond!
Lewis Muir
Senior Recruitment Consultant
Lewis has worked within the recruitment industry for 5 years. Previously his field was Oil & Gas / Energy recruitment. He has decided to take on a new challenge with HRS.

Lewis chose HRS as he wanted to work in a niche environment where his efforts would have a more positive impact on today’s society.

Interesting fact: Lived in 7 countries. Spent most of my life in the UAE.

Ella has a background within life science recruitment but chose to move over to the internal side as she likes to build relationships with people and enable them to have the best possible career.

Sajid's journey into recruitment was an unusual one. He started out working in security , then onto managing a shisha lounge, before finally finding himself within the world of recruitment. Sajid started recruiting specialist locum consultants within the NHS for just under 5 years. Feeling it was a time for change, but still with a passion for recruitment, he felt HRS was the perfect move.

Why HRS?
I chose HRS because during the interview process, I could truly feel how passionate the team were about what they do. The sell for me was how much importance HRS place on providing the absolute best service to make a difference within the field of life sciences.

Interesting fact: I have had dinner with former world champion David Haye (in Dubai) Amir Khan (in London) and Prince Naseem Hamed (in London)

Nuel graduated from the university of Northampton after studying Accounting and Fiance. He then went on to start a career in finance. Nuel is based in our Loughton office and supports the operational function of the business.

Why HRS?
I enjoy working here because of how enthusiastic everyone is to progress and change lives.

Interesting fact: I like to cook and play football.
Carlie Aylott
Management Accountant
After finising sixth form, Carlie knew she wanted a career in finance. Maths, Business Studies and Economics is what she really enjoyed. Carlie began by gaining experience in a customer facing position at a supervisor level. She then started an accounts position for a property company. Since Carlie has flourished in here role and managed to work her way up to senior positions.

Why HRS?
I joined HRS as its important to me to work in a friendly and uplifting environment. The staff really make you feel welcome and part of the family. I also feel I will learn plenty here and broaden my experience and skills to help me on my career path in finance.

Interesting fact: I have been a season ticket holder at Spurs for 18 years and have a bar area in my family home filled with memorabilia, photos and souvenirs we have collected over the years!
